DESIGNING NEW INCLUSIVE MOBILITY SOLUTIONS FOR LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND INFLUENCE THE FUTURE OF TRANSPORTATION
Good accessibility helps the European economy to thrive, promotes inclusion and fosters wellbeing. HiReach assists the European Union in this endeavour by identifying and characterising transport poverty and evaluating transport policies and initiatives. The goal is to develop new business-oriented mobility products, capable of improving accessibility in urban and rural areas and adapted to the needs of vulnerable citizens.
A selection of top 25 startups has been involved in a one-week bootcamp, in Vienna, Austria, where they have learned about business model innovation, startup methodologies and tools. They got additional product validation, defined the value proposition and prepared a business case which was pitched to project representatives.
The best 10 startups, have been invited to an intensive 3-month follow-up acceleration programme to detail the technical solutions and business model that will make their transport poverty solution viable. During this period, entrepreneurs have been offered the chance to use an open toolbox developed by HiReach and to gain a competitive advantage for accelerating novel mobility products.
10 startups will be present at the HiReach Startup Showcase, virtually hosted from Lisbon on June 16th. The best 5 startups are going to be invited to the final phase of the acceleration program.
They will be working with hosting companies to test-bed their ideas under real-life conditions, providing unprecedented international recognition and a fast-track to enter a huge untapped market, and be invited to participate in a final demo day in Brussels in September 2020.
HiReach project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement no. 769819.
We couldn't be more excited about our lineup. Which pitches will you be checking out?
